As it is polished it can be left as is or chromed.

In Australia the DS was called a Goddess
and the ID model, a Parissienne.
It seems that most D models coming into Australia
in the 50's & 60's came with the badge
either on the bootlid or the front bonnet - - or both.

They were normally mounted on the bottom right side
of the bootlid (trunk) or on the right hand bottom of the bonnet at a slight angle when standing in front of the car .

There are three 3/16" whitworth threads which are 3/8" (10mm long) and are part of the casting at the back
Included are nuts and washers to secure.

It is 7 1/2" (190mm) long.
The C is 13/16" (21mm) high
and the other letters including base line are
1/2" (13mm) high.
It is 1/8" (3mm) thick.
