ELECTRICAL WOODBLOCKS ( PATTRESSES )

Stained & Shellaced re-cycled timber (mainly pine) as shown or Plain Pine
can be fastened over existing holes using our different profile adaptor plates.
Shellac will wear naturally unlike a modern finish which will chip and scratch with wear
( Particle board or MDF board is not used )
We have been making these for 20 years.
Each block is made by hand, so together with the hand shellaced ( french polished) finish they make a very original product

Note that the profile mould comes in from the edge by approx 8mm ( 5/16") .

Example:- the 2502WI New BakeliteSwitch (shown above) of 50mm ( 2 ") diameter is best on an 80mm ( 3 1/4") round block.

Reason :- Because the profile mould comes in fromthe edge by approx 8mm ( 5/16") you subtracttwice 8mm ( 5/16")
being 16mm (5/8")from 80mm(3-1/4") leaving a surface diameter of 64mm (2-5/8")

The switch is 14mm (5/8") smaller than the surface diameter of the top of the block giving a 7mm (5/16") space around the switch which is fine.
A 70mm 2-3/4" block can also be used innarrow spaces or a 90mm (3-1/2" ) if onewants a generous distance.
Needless to say, we can suggest which blocks are most suitable
